Next year will mark fifty years since the Stuttgart-based conglomerate, which celebrates its 140th anniversary this year, purchased its first work of art. Since the 1980s, the collection – initially known as the DaimlerChrysler Collection until the holding company’s restructuring – has been systematically expanded and now comprises some three thousand works by eight hundred artists.
